In addition to creating a website in order to drive commerce through our business, LMC Disposal has decided to digitize all billing and bookkeeping. I have begun training the staff on how to create excel spreadsheets and word documents. It sounds like an easy task but there is a lot to learn. Billing can be issued electronically by request. The technology available to us in the world is evolving faster than people can learn, so it is important to stay up to date to make things easier on ourselves. We have benefited greatly from just having a website that shows up in some Google searches. The amount of business that is attracted on the web is undeniable in today's world.
Now we will send out typed bills instead of anything hand written and all records are being kept in well backed up spreadsheets. The files are backed up in multiple places to avoid issues due to data corruption or otherwise. Learning how to use a spreadsheet is a process and it is imperfect, like anything, but we are trying to advance our company with technology and are successful at doing so.
